USB Ports are found on any recently purchased computer. They can be used to connect any thing from mice to flash drives. These can be found in the back of your computer and sometimes one in the front. For laptops you would find them on the side and back.

Port Settings enable a device to communicate with the computer. Without these settings the computer cannot function as a single unit. Today, there are various types of ports available to set up devices. The ports are divided into various categories based on their Speed, Data Transfer Capabilities and Size.

Port Setting helps you to customize the system to serve your purpose. You always have a choice to connect old devices with new ones instead of upgrading your system. You can control the behavior of the device using the settings.

**The USB ports and when they were invented

On the USB connector there are four pins inside. They are VCC, D-,D+,and GND. The VCC is RED, the d- is WHITE, and the d+ is GREEN, the GND is BLACK. The VCC is +5v, the D- is data-, the D+ is data+, and the GND is ground.

The USB ports have about 5V of power. people have found ways to use this power for things you wouldnt have thought of. some people have found that you can cook meat just by converting several USB cables in a coffee heater or that you can charge your ipod of of two batteries.
